Nomination Meeting
The Beaches-East York NDP is proud to be holding its federal momination meeting on January 24th, at 1:00 PM. It is being held at Royal Canadian Legion Branch 345, which is located at 81 Peard Road, on the corner of Peard Road and Victoria Park Avenue, two blocks north of St. Clair Avenue.
Our nomination is being contested between two candiadates: Matthew Kellway (www.matthewkellway.ca) and Barbara Warner (www.barbarawarner.ca). Please note that the address for Barabara's website was incorrect in the mailing; it is .ca, not .com.Our guest speaker for the event is a
big one: NDP MP for Timmins–James Bay and critic for Digital Issues and
Heritage and Culture, Charlie Angus! Also in
attendance for the nomination will be: our great MPP,
Michael Prue; our two
wonderful city councilors, Janet
Davis and Sandra Bussin; and Andrew Cash, musician, NOW magazine
columnist and NDP candidate in the riding of Davenport. Andrew will be
playing a few songs for us to kick of the meeting!

Depending on your location, there are a few options to get to 81 Peard Road via public transit. If you live around or south of the Danforth Subway, you can take the subway to Victoria Park Station, and then take the Victoria Park 24 Northbound bus to the St. Clair Avenue stop. Cross to the west side ov Victoria Park, and Legion Branh 345 is two blocks north. The St Clair stop on the 23 Dawes Rd Northbound, from Main Station, and the Victoria Park stop on the 70 O’Connor (but not the 70A or 70B) Eastbound from Coxwell Station will also take you to St. Clair Avenue and Victoria Park Avenue.
