East of "the Danforth" Torontonians know best, the chic cafes and trendy gastro-pubs give way to bakeries, greengrocers, fish markets and butchers that serve a unique diversity of culinary traditions. Hosted by progressive champion Janet Davis, in a hidden East Danforth food forest, a prominent Toronto chef will work with EatDanforthEast food tour creator Phil Pothen to assemble a unique cross-cultural menu that celebrates lesser-known ingredients from the diverse independent grocers around the eastern reaches of Danforth Avenue.
